Isaiah 54 Hebrews

The following is a map between Isaiah 54 and Hebrews. The key matches are Children, Tent, Noah, Mountain and City.

Children

13 Isaiah 54:1
54 1Give praise, barren woman, you who did not bear; break forth into singing and rejoice, you who have not travailed in delivery; for more are the children of the barren woman than the children of her that has a lord says Yahvah.

54 Hebrews 2:13
13And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Look at me and the children God has given me.

Tent

13 Isaiah 54:2-3
2Enlarge the place of your tents, and stretch forth the curtains of your habitations; do not spare, lengthen your cords and strengthen your tent pegs;
3for you will expand on the right hand and on the left; and your sons will inherit the Gentiles and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.

54 Hebrews 3:1-6
1Therefore my holy brothers, called by a call from the skies, look to this Apostle and High Priest of our faith, Jesus Messiah,
2who was faithful to him who appointed him, as Moses was also faithful to all his house.
3The glory of Jesus is much greater than that of Moses, just as the honor of the builder of the house is greater than the house itself.
4For every house is built by some man; but he who builds all things is God.
5And Moses as a servant was faithful to all his house, and was a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
6but Messiah as a son over his own house, whose house we are, if to the end, we hold fast with confidence, to the glory of his hope.

Covenant

13 Isaiah 54:4-8
4Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; nor will you be rebuked, for you will not be put to shame; you will forget the shame of your youth and will not remember the disgrace of your widowhood any longer.
5For Yahvah will do thus to you; Yahvah of hosts is his name, and your Savior the Holy One of Israel; the God of the whole land he will be called.
6For Yahvah has called you as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and as a wife forsaken from her youth says your God.
7For in a little anger I have forsaken you; but with my great mercies I will gather you.
8In a raging wrath I hid my face from you; but with my everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you says Yahvah, your Savior.

54 Hebrews 8:8-12
8For he found fault with them and said, Look, the day is coming says Master, when I will perfect a new contract with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah;
9not according to the contract that I made with their fathers, in the day when I took them by the hand and led them out of the land of Egypt; and because they did not stay in my contract I rejected them says Master.
10For this will be the contract that I will make with the house of Israel after those days says Master: I will put my law into their minds and I will write it on their hearts; and I will be their God and they will be my people.
11And no man will teach his neighbor, nor his brother saying, Know Master; for all will know me, from the youngest to the oldest.
12And I will forgive their wickedness and I will no longer remember their sins.

Noah

13 Isaiah 54:9
9This is like the days of Noah to me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should not go over the land any longer, so I have sworn that I would not be angry with you nor rebuke you.

54 Hebrews 11:7
7By faith, Noah, when he was warned concerning the things not seen, became fearful and made an ark to save his house; and by it, he condemned the world and became heir of righteousness, which is by faith.

Mountain

13 Isaiah 54:10
10For the mountains will be brought low and the hills bent downward; but my kindness will not depart from you, nor will the contract of your peace be removed says Yahvah, the Merciful One.

54 Hebrews 12:18-21
18For you have still not come near the roaring fire, nor the darkness, nor the storm, nor the tempest,
19Nor to the sound of the trumpet and the sound of the words; which they heard, but refused, so that the word will not be spoken to them any longer.
20For they could not survive what was commanded, for, If even an animal draws near the mountain, it must be stoned.
21And the sight was so terrible that Moses said, I fear and quake.

City

13 Isaiah 54:11-15
11Afflicted one, tempest-tossed and not comforted, look, I will set your stones in beryl, and lay your foundations with sapphires.
12And I will make your walls of jasper and your gates of crystal and your borders of precious stones.
13And all your children will learn of me; and great will be the peace of your children.
14In righteousness you will be established; you will be far from oppression, for you will not fear; and from ruin, for destruction will not come near you.
15All those who are brought back by my hand will enter into you; and they will be as a place of refuge to your inhabitants.

54 Hebrews 12:22-24
22But you have come near to mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the Jerusalem in the skies, and to the innumerable multitude of angels
23And to the congregation of the first converts who are enrolled in the skies, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of pious men made perfect
24And to Jesus, the mediator of the new contract, and to the sprinkling of his blood, which speaks a better message than Abel did.

Helper

13 Isaiah 54:16-17
16Look, I have created the blacksmith who blows the coals in the fire and brings forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the ravager to destroy.
17No weapon that is fashioned against you will prosper; and every tongue that will rise against you in judgment, you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of Yahvah, and their righteousness is of me says Yahvah.

54 Hebrews 13:6
6So that we may boldly say, Master is my helper, and I will not fear what man may do to me.
