The following is a map between Isaiah chapter 7 and Judges chapters 9-18.
13 Isaiah 7:1-2
1And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jothan, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Aram, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up to Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it.
2And it was told the house of David saying, Aram is confederate with Ephraim. And his heart and the heart of his people were moved, as the trees of the forest are moved with the wind.
7 Judges 9:7-15
7And when they told it to Jotham, he went and stood on the top of mount Gerizim, and lifted up his voice and cried, and said to them, Listen to me, lords of Shechem, that God may listen to you.
8Once upon a time the trees went forth to anoint a king over them; and they said to the olive tree, Be king over us.
9But the olive tree said to them, Should I leave my fertility, by which gods and men are honored, to be abominated for reigning over the trees?
10And the trees said to the fig tree, Come, be king over us.
11But the fig tree said to them, I am not going to leave my sweetness and my good fruit, to be abominated for reigning over the trees.
12Then the trees said to the vine, Come, be king over us.
13But the vine said to them, I am not going to leave my wine which cheers the hearts of gods and men, to be abominated for reigning over the trees.
14Then all the trees said to the bramble, Come, be king over us.
15And the bramble said to the trees, If in truth you anoint me king over you, then come and take refuge in my shade; and if not, let fire come out of the bramble and devour the cedars of Lebanon.
13 Isaiah 7:3-9
3Then Yahvah said to Isaiah, Go forth now to meet Ahaz, you and Shear-Jashub your son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool which is in the highway of the house's field;
4and say to him, Listen and be quiet; do not fear, nor be frightened by these 2 weakening trouble-makers, by the fierce anger of Rezin, and by the son of Remaliah
5because Aram, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah have taken evil counsel against you saying,
6Let us go up against Judah and destroy it, and let us make a breach in it and set a king in the middle of it, even the son of Tabeal;
7Master Yahvah says, It will not stand, nor will it come to pass.
8For the head of Aram is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin; and after 65 years Ephraim will be broken, so that it will no longer be a people.
9And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah's son. If you do not believe, surely you will not understand.
7 Judges 12:1-6
1Then the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and went northward, and said to Jephthah, Why did you cross over to fight against the children of Ammon, and did not call us to go with you? We will burn your house over you with fire.
2And Jephthah said to them, Men, I and my people had strife with the children of Ammon; and when I called you, you did not deliver me from their hands.
3And when I saw that there was no one to deliver me, I risked my life, and crossed over against the children of Ammon, and Yahvah delivered them into my hands; now why have you come up against me this day, to fight with me?
4Then Jephthah gathered together all the men of Gilead and fought with Ephraim; and the men of Gilead struck the men of Ephraim, because they said, The Ephraimites dominate Ephraim and Manasseh.
5And the Gileadites took the fords of the Jordan which belonged to Ephraim; and when any of the fugitives of Ephraim tried to cross over the passage, the men of Gilead said to him, Are you an Ephraimite? If he said, No;
6then they said to him, Now say Shibboleth; and he said Sibboleth; for he could not pronounce it. Then they took him and slew him at the fords of the Jordan; and there fell at that time 42,000 of the Ephraimites.
13 Isaiah 7:10-14
10Moreover, Yahvah spoke again to Ahaz saying,
11Ask for yourself a sign of Yahvah your God; ask something in the depth, or in the height above.
12But Ahaz said, I will not ask, nor will I tempt Yahvah my God.
13And he said, Hear now, house of David; it is a small thing for you to weary men, but will you also weary my God?

7 Judges 14:8-9
