Report

Isaiah Romans

13 Isaiah 53:1
53 1Who has believed our report? And to whom is the arm of Yahvah revealed?

53 Romans 10:16
16But all have not heard the preaching of the gospel. For Isaiah said, My master, who has believed the echoes of our voice?

Root

Isaiah Romans

13 Isaiah 53:2-3
2For he grew up before him like an infant and like a root out of the dry ground; he had no form nor comeliness; and when we saw that he had no beauty, we denied him.
3He is despised and humbled of men; a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and we turned our faces away from him; we despised him and we did not esteem him.

53 Romans 11:17-21
17And if some of the branches were cut off, and you who are a branch of a wild olive tree have been grafted in their place, and you have become a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree,
18do not boast over the branches. For if you boast, it is not you who sustains the root, but the root sustains you.
19Perhaps you may say, The branches were cut off that I might be grafted in their place.
20Well, they were cut off because of their unbelief, but you exist by faith. Do not be highminded, but reverence god.
21For if god did not spare the natural branches, it may well be he will not spare you.

Redeemer

Isaiah Romans

13 Isaiah 53:4-5
4Surely he has borne our sorrows and carried our griefs; but we considered him struck, struck of god, and afflicted.
5But he was slain for our sins, he was afflicted for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on him, and with his wounds we are healed.

53 Romans 11:26-27
26And then, all Israel will be saved; as it is written, A deliverer will come out of Zion, and he will remove ungodliness from Jacob;
27and then, they will have the same contract from me, when I have forgiven their sins.

We All Like Sheep

Isaiah Romans

13 Isaiah 53:6
6We all have strayed like sheep; we have turned each to his own way; and Yahvah has laid on him the sins of us all.

53 Romans 11:32
32For god has included all men in disobedience, that he might have mercy on every man.

Submission

Isaiah Romans

13 Isaiah 53:7-9
7He drew near and he was afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led as a lamb to the slaughter; and as an ewe before her shearers is mute, so he did not open his mouth.
8He was taken from prison and from judgment; and who can describe his anguish? For he was cut off out of the land of the living; and some of the evil men of my people struck him.
9He made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, although he had done no iniquity, nor was there any deceit in his mouth.

53 Romans 13:1-2
1Let every soul be subject to the sovereign authorities. For there is no power which is not from god; and those who are in authority, are ordained by god.
2Whoever therefore resists the civil authority, resists the command of god; and they who resist, will receive judgment to themselves.

Resurrection

Isaiah Romans

13 Isaiah 53:10
10Yet it pleased Yahvah to afflict him; he has put him to grief; he laid down his life as an offering for sin, that posterity may see, and his days will be prolonged, and the pleasure of Yahvah will prosper in his hand.

53 Romans 13:11
11Also know this, that now is the time and the hour that we should awake from our sleep, for now our salvation is nearer than when we believed.

Light

Isaiah Romans

13 Isaiah 53:11
11He will see the reward of the travail of his soul, and be satisfied with the knowledge; he will justify the righteous; for he is a servant of many, and he will bear their sins.

53 Romans 13:12-13
12The night is far spent, the day is at hand; let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
13Let us walk decently, as in the daylight; not in clamor and drunkenness, not in the practice of immorality, not in envy and strife.

Many

Isaiah Romans

13 Isaiah 53:12-54:0
12Therefore I will divide him a portion with the great, and he will divide the spoil with the strong, because he has poured out his life to death; and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bore the sins of many, and died the death of transgressors.

53 Romans 15:8-12
8Now I say that Jesus, an anointed, was a minister of the circumcision, for the truth of god, to confirm the promises made to the fathers,
9and that the Gentiles might glorify god for his mercies which were poured on them; as it is written, Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles and sing to your name.
10And again, he says, Rejoice, Gentiles, with his people.
11And again, he says, Praise master, all Gentiles; and praise him, all nations.
12And again, Isaiah said, There will be a root of Jesse, and he that will rise, will be a prince to the Gentiles; and in him, the Gentiles will trust.
