Isaiah 43:13-44:0
Yes, from the 1st day I am he; and there is no one who can deliver out of my hands; what I will do, who can stop it?
Yahvah, your savior, the holy one of Israel says: For your sake, I have sent to Babylon, and have brought back all the fugitives and the Chaldeans who glory in their ships.
I am Yahvah, your holy one, the creator of Israel, your king.
Yahvah, who has made a way in the sea and a path in the mighty waters;
who brings forth the chariots and horses and a mighty army, that will lie down together, that will not rise, that is extinguished like a flickering lamp says:
Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old.
Look, I will do a new thing; now it will spring forth and you will know it. I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
The animals of the field will glorify me, the jackals and the ostriches, because I give waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert to provide drink to my people, my chosen.
This people whom I have chosen for myself, they will drink.
But you have not called me, Jacob; for I have called you, Israel.
You have not brought me lambs of your burnt offerings; nor have you honored me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with request offerings, nor wearied you with demands for incense.
You have bought me no sweet cane with honey, nor have you filled me with the fat of your sacrifices; but you have burdened me with your sins, you have wearied me with your iniquities.
I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake and will not remember your sins any longer.
Put me in remembrance; let us plead together; that you may be justified.
Your first father has sinned, and your rulers have transgressed against me.
Your princes have profaned the sanctuary; therefore I have given Jacob to the curse and Israel to disgraces.
