43 Luke

13 Isaiah 43:1-8
¹But now, Yahvah who created you, Jacob, and he who formed you, Israel, says: Do not fear; for I have saved you, I have called you by your name because you are mine.
²When you will pass through the sea, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you; when you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; nor will the flame kindle on you.
³For I am Yahvah your god, the holy one of Israel, your savior; I gave Egypt for your sake, and Cush and Seba for you.
⁴Because you are precious in my sight, you have been honorable and I have loved you; therefore I have given men for your sake and nations for your life.
⁵Do not fear; for I am with you; I will bring your sons from the east, and gather you from the west;
⁶I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Do not keep back; bring my sons from far away, and my daughters from the ends of the land;
⁷even everyone who is called by my name; for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him and I have made him.

⁸Bring forth the blind people who have eyes, and the deaf who have ears.

13 Isaiah 43:9-12
⁹Let all the peoples be gathered together and let all the nations be assembled; who among you can declare this and show us the former things? Let them bring forth their witnesses that they may be justified; or let them hear and say, It is truth.
¹⁰You are my witnesses, says Yahvah, and my servants whom I have chosen; that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he; before me there was no god created, nor will there be after me.
¹¹I, even I, am Yahvah; and besides me there is no savior.
¹²I have declared that I have saved, and I have proclaimed that there is no strange god among you; therefore you are my witnesses, says Yahvah, that I am god.

13 Isaiah 43:13-44:0
¹³Yes, from the 1st day I am he; and there is no one who can deliver out of my hands; what I will do, who can stop it?

¹⁴Yahvah, your savior, the holy one of Israel says: For your sake, I have sent to Babylon, and have brought back all the fugitives and the Chaldeans who glory in their ships.
¹⁵I am Yahvah, your holy one, the creator of Israel, your king.

¹⁶Yahvah, who has made a way in the sea and a path in the mighty waters;
¹⁷who brings forth the chariots and horses and a mighty army, that will lie down together, that will not rise, that is extinguished like a flickering lamp says:
¹⁸Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old.
¹⁹Look, I will do a new thing; now it will spring forth and you will know it. I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
²⁰The animals of the field will glorify me, the jackals and the ostriches, because I give waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert to provide drink to my people, my chosen.
²¹This people whom I have chosen for myself, they will drink.

²²But you have not called me, Jacob; for I have called you, Israel.
²³You have not brought me lambs of your burnt offerings; nor have you honored me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with request offerings, nor wearied you with demands for incense.
²⁴You have bought me no sweet cane with honey, nor have you filled me with the fat of your sacrifices; but you have burdened me with your sins, you have wearied me with your iniquities.

²⁵I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake and will not remember your sins any longer.
²⁶Put me in remembrance; let us plead together; that you may be justified.
²⁷Your first father has sinned, and your rulers have transgressed against me.
²⁸Your princes have profaned the sanctuary; therefore I have given Jacob to the curse and Israel to disgraces.
