34 Malachi

?

Isaiah Malachi

13 Isaiah 34:1-4
34 1Come near, peoples, to hear; and listen, nations; let the land hear, and all that is in it; the world, and all that live in it.
2For the indignation of Yahvah is against all the nations, and his fury against all their armies, that he may destroy them and deliver them to the slaughter.
3Their slain will also be cast out, and the stink of their corpses will come up, and the mountains will be drenched with their blood.
4And all the host of the skies will be dissolved, and the skies will be rolled together as a scroll; and all their host will fall down, as the leaf falls from off the vine and as a falling of premature figs from the fig tree.

Edom

Isaiah Malachi

13 Isaiah 34:5
5For my sword will be sharpened in the skies; look, it will come down on the Edomites and on a people that is condemned in judgment.

34 Malachi 1:2-3
2I have loved you says Yahvah. But you say, In what way have you loved us? Was Esau not Jacob's brother? Yet I have loved Jacob, and I have not favored Esau says Yahvah;
3and I have made his mountains waste and his heritage for camps of shepherds in the wilderness.

Isaiah Malachi

13 Isaiah 34:6-35:0
6The sword of Yahvah is filled with blood, it is made fat with the blood, and with the fatness of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams; for Yahvah has a sacrifice in Bozrah and a great slaughter in the land of Edom.
7And unicorns will fall with them, and bulls with the bulls; and the land will be soaked with their blood, and the soil enriched with their fatness.

8For it is the day of Yahvah's vengeance and the year of repayment for the cause of Zion,
9and its streams will be turned into pitch and its soil into brimstone, and its land will become burning pitch.
10It will not be quenched night nor day; its smoke will go up forever; and it will lie waste from generation to generation; no one will pass through it forever and ever.
11But pelicans and owls will possess it; ravens and ostriches will live in it; and he will stretch out on it the measuring line of the sword, and there will not be joy in it.
12They will not call it a kingdom there any longer, and all her princes will perish.

13And thorns will sprout up in her houses, nettles and thistles in its fortresses; and it will be a habitation of dragons and a pasture for ostriches.
14And insane men will meet in it, and demoniacs will cry out to each other; there has the screech owl perched and found for herself a place of rest.

15There the great owl will make her nest, and lay and hatch and gather under her shadow; there vultures will also be gathered, each with her mate.

16Seek out the book of Yahvah, and read; not one of these will fail, none sought for her mate; but with his own mouth he has commanded, and his spirit has gathered them.
17And he has cast the lot for them, and his hand has divided it to them by the measuring line; they will possess it forever; from generation to generation they will live in it.
