Isaiah First Kings

13 Isaiah 9:8-10:0
10 8Master has sent a word to Jacob, and it has fallen on Israel.
9And all the people will know, even Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria, who say in pride and haughtiness of heart,
10We will lay bricks and hew stones; the sycamores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.
11Therefore Yahvah will cause the adversaries of Rezin to prevail against him, and incite his enemies,
12the Arameans from the east and the Philistines from the west; and they will devour Israel with open mouth. For all this, his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

13For the people did not turn to him until they were devoured, nor did they seek Yahvah of hosts.
14Therefore Yahvah will cut off from Israel head and tail, tail and head, in 1 day.
15The elder and honorable, he is the head; and the prophet who teaches lies, he is the tail.
16For the leaders of this people will cause them to err and cause them to sink low.
17Therefore master will have no joy in their young men, nor will he have mercy on their orphans and widows; for all of them are hypocrites and evildoers, and every mouth speaks folly. For all this, his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

18For wickedness burns like the fire; it will devour the briers and thorns, and will kindle in the thickets of the forest, and the chosen ones will roll up like the lifting up of smoke.
19Through the rebuke of Yahvah of hosts, the land trembles, and the people will be as the fuel of the fire; no man will spare his brother.
20And he will snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he will eat on the left hand, and will not be satisfied; they will eat every man the flesh of his own kinsmen;
21Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh; and they together will devour Judah. For all this, his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

The Widow of Zarephath

Isaiah First Kings

13 Isaiah 10:1-2
1Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, and who write unjust decrees;
2to turn aside the needy from justice and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that they may plunder the widows and that they may rob the fatherless.

10 First Kings 17:12
12And she said, As Yahvah your god lives, I have nothing but a handful of flour in a pot and a little oil in a cruse; and look, I am gathering a few sticks, that I may go in and bake it for me and my son, that we may eat it and die.

Storm

Isaiah First Kings

13 Isaiah 10:3-4
3And what will you do on the day of repayment and in the storm which will come from far away? To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory?
4Without me, you will bow down under the prisoners, and you will fall under the slain. For all this, his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

10 First Kings 18:40-42
40And Elijah said to them, Seize the prophets of the lord, and do not let 1 of them escape. And they seized them; and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon and slew them there.

41And Elijah said to Ahab, Go up, eat and drink; for there is a rushing sound of heavy rain.
42So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he bent himself down on the land, and put his face between his knees;
