The Tree of Life

The Book Chain is a closed circuit. The last book in the Bible, Revelation, connects to the beginning of Genesis.

It might seem strange that the end of Revelation would supply context for what was happening at the beginning of Genesis, but if you've ever started a good novel by reading the end first then you won't find this idea such a surprise.

The main linkage between these books is the Tree of Life. The tree is best known as a fixture in the Garden of Eden at the beginning of Genesis, but the tree of life is also present inside the New Jerusalem at the end of Revelation. Thus the tree of life links Revelation and Genesis and by extension, the New Jerusalem and the Garden of Eden.

Consider also, the warning that Revelation speaks. Anyone who takes words away from the Bible will loose his portion of the Tree of Life. In other words the correct set of words leads back to the Tree of Life.
